WINCHESTER University’s new Student Village officially opens on Monday, October 14.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Dame Mary Fagan will do the honours at the Burma Road complex.
Located next to the King Alfred Campus, it offers 350 en-suite bedrooms and numerous state-of-the-art facilities, including a gym.
Prof Neil Marriott, deputy vice-chancellor, said: “Over recent years the university has invested heavily in order to provide affordable, sustainable and modern accommodation for those studying here. As well as benefitting our students, staff and the local community have the opportunity to join and use the gym.
“We are proud to be officially opening the Burma Road Student Village and showing guests all it has to offer.”
