DETAILED plans for the first phase of the Barton Farm development are to go on display next week.
The information day is to be held at the Guildhall on Wednesday, September 18, between 12 noon and 7.30pm.
The plans on show are for around 430 private and affordable homes, as well as for the public open spaces to the south and north of the site.
It will be an opportunity to see the proposed mix of house types, layout and landscaping of phases 1A and 1B.
Representatives from CALA and from architects and master planners, John Thompson and Partners, will be on hand to answer questions.
CALA also announced last week the appointment of Rob Westwood as project director for Barton Farm.
Mr Westwood said: “The event is part of our on-going commitment to keeping the local community updated on our plans for Barton Farm. We held a consultation event in June to get feedback and comments on our proposals for phases 1A and 1B and have taken that feedback on board. Those attending the information day will be able to see how our plans have evolved since then and view the detail of the reserved matters application which we will be submitting to the local planning authority in the next few weeks.”
