A WINCHESTER barbershop chorus has been helping the mayor raise money for his charities.
The Tudor Roses performed for Mayor Ernie Jeffs and mayoress Barbara Jeffs when they held a charity cake sale in the Cathedral Close last Saturday.
The 35-strong chorus sing unaccompanied in the barbershop style.
It meets for rehearsal every Monday from 7.30pm at All Saints Church Hall in Highcliffe. New members are always welcome.
The mayor’s cake sale raised funds for Hounds for Heroes, Network Scouts, Countess Mountbatten Hospice and a community pot for various good causes including Alresford and District Guiding, Alresford Community Centre, Alresford Town Trust minibus and Alresford Rugby Club.
