AN Alresford pub will reopen, according to its owners.
The Running Horse on Pound Hill closed on Friday with the outgoing licensees saying it would never reopen and was to be sold.
Owners Greene King originally said the pub was going to reopen on Tuesday.
But today it issued a new statement, saying: “The previous licensees have decided to leave the Running Horse and we would like to thank them for their hard work. New licensees have come on board and are currently re-stocking the bar and tidying up the pub before it re-opens.
“They very much hope to re-open the pub as soon as possible. We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused and look forward to welcoming them back very soon.”
Malc Evans and Hannah Newman left at the weekend, posting on Facebook and Twitter that the pub on Pound Hill would not be reopening.
