A WORLD famous Baritone treated students at a Winchester College to a singing master class last Monday (July 8th).
Teaching at Peter Symonds College, Roderick Williams, uncle to an ex-student, coached nine students aged between 16-18.
‘Uncle Roddy’ visited the college after performing at the First Night of the Proms earlier this year.
Hilary Llystyn-Jones, head of vocal studies at the college, said: “This was an incredible opportunity and experience for all the students involved. Some of them are off to continue their music studies at university, whilst others have yet to start their A level courses here.
“In spite of their varying abilities Roddy was an incredible coach with a lot of patience and experience, which he shared with each and every one of them. I don’t think they will forget this class for a long while.”
Students Millie Camp, Josceline Dunne, Meredith Hughes, Connor Judd, Max McCulloch, Elinor Popham, Rosamond Thomas, Kathleen Brenner and Katie Macdonald attended the class.
