THE CHAIRMAN of Hampshire County Council has broken his wrist after a fall at Winchester Cathedral.
Ken Thornber, 80, who led the council until this summer, tripped and broke his left wrist on Wednesday.
But the former Tory council boss still chaired a meeting of the full council yesterday (Thurs) in sweltering temperatures with his left arm in plaster and a sling.
