SCHOOLCHILDREN at Bishop's Waltham Junior school have been learning all about graft, commitment and perseverance.
Led by their Year 3 teacher, Rebecca Chase, they’ve put the hours in this year to transform overgrown scrubland into a working vegetable garden.
A launch party on Monday (July 15) was an opportunity for the pupils to show what they have achieved.
But the work is not over just yet - funding so far has come from the PTA, but that stops next year and the school will need to raise funds for the development and running of the garden.
Raising over £90, Ms Chase said the afternoon was “a great success” and that the children were delighted to see a Chronicle photographer.
“The children think they are all famous now!” she said.
