TWO men arrested in Winchester after their vehicle collided with a police bike have been re-bailed.
Police received a report of two men shoplifting in Jack Wills on Winchester High Street on Tuesday, June 11, and officers tried to stop a man in a silver BMW 3 series in St Peter Street.
The driver failed to stop and collided with a police bike, although the officer was not injured. The car then collided with another vehicle in stationary traffic.
A 57-year-old from Wheatley in Oxfordshire was later arrested on suspicion of theft, assault, failing to stop, dangerous driving and criminal damage. A 29-year-old from Oxford was also arrested on suspicion of theft.
Both have been re-bailed until September 13.
