PUPILS at a school in Fair Oak recently had the opportunity to host their own Question Time.
Year 10 citizenship students at Wyvern College welcomed Eastleigh MP Mike Thornton.
The pupils had already met him when he hosted them at the Houses of Parliament, but on June 21 they returned the favour – and they had plenty of questions for him.
The Liberal Democrat was grilled on opting out of the EU, housing, transport, his attitude to UKIP, immigration, the changes to GCSE, the NHS and the Scottish independence referendum.
Headteacher Alan Newton said: “These students showed an impressive maturity and knowledge of current events and all credit must go to the inspiring nature of citizenship classes here at Wyvern.”
