POLICE say there has been a rise in criminal damage in Bishop's Waltham.
Parish Cllr Barry Nicholson attended a recent meeting between officers and residents and said that tackling the vandalism would now be a policing priority in the town.
Police figures show that over a three-month period up to June, there were 11 criminal damages, eight of which were vehicles.
There were also seven thefts from vehicles.
The news comes in the wake of an April report from the Chronicle which told how the windows of five cars in the town were smashed in one night.
