Gas alert at Winchester house today
FIREFIGHTERS and police responded to an alert over a gas-filled house in Winchester this morning.
The firecrew from Easton Lane was called to a house in West End Close, Fulflood, at around 2.50am to ventilate the property by opening windows and doors.
It is thought the gas was deliberately turned on but it was unclear whether anyone has been arrested.
There was no evacuation of neighbouring properties.
