AN air ambulance was called after two cars collided on the A33 near Winchester today.

Three people were treated for minor injuries after a Ford Fiesta and a Mazda crashed into each other just before 1.30pm today near the junction with London Road, Kings Worthy.

Police were called at 1.24pm and closed off the road in both directions whilst the air ambulance landed.

A police spokesman said that the injuries were at first considered serious, but were later deemed “non-life threatening”.

It remains unclear at this time if any of the patients were taken to hospital.

Police say no arrests have been made in connection with the incident and that normal traffic was resumed by 3pm.
