FOR pupils leaving one Winchester college, the sky was the limit.
Barton Peveril College bade farewell to the class of 2013 with the release of 1500 balloons representing student leavers and the staff who have taught them.
The gloomy June skies didn't dampen the mood of the event, which also marked a decade of fundraising for the Hannah Memorial Academy, an Indian school for underprivileged children set up in memory of former Barton Peveril student Hannah Foster.
Since Hannah's death in 2003, staff and students have raised almost £12,000 for the charity.
Trustee John Higham did the honours alongside student Elliott Humphrey as they released the balloons.
Elliott won the opportunity to release the net after his name was drawn from a hat of those who made donations to the Hannah Memorial Academy.
