A ROMSEY company’s managing director has scooped a top regional award.
Paul Fox of Budds Lane-based Merryhill Envirotec has been given the title South West Director of the Year for Corporate Responsibility 2013.
The Institute of Directors bestowed the honour on the 42-year-old businessmen who joined Merryhill nine years ago and he is the only director in the asbestos removal industry to gain the coveted Institute of Directors chartered director status.
“I am absolutely chuffed to get this ward. I am a great believer in directors getting out of the office walls and meeting people. I get out and mentor people in Poole,” said Paul who became a director at Merryhill in 2008.
He lives at Ferndown with wife Anita and the couple have a grown up son and daughter.
Paul, who is registered as a director in Dorset which is why he was nominated for the South West region award, said that Merryhill is a small business of 50 people that is licensed to remove asbestos. He will now represent the South West which covers Dorset, Wiltshire and counties further west at the national finals in November. The award is presented in recognition of the nominee’s leadership in corporate responsibility.
