THE inquest into the death of a 23-year-old man has opened in Winchester.
Edward Sebborn, of Westbury Court, Hedge End died in hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Curdridge last week.
The inquest was opened on Wednesday (June 12) and is to be resumed pending the post-mortem and further police investigation.
The crash, involving a blue Ford Fiesta, happened in Botley Road, close to Maple Farm on Thursday, June 6.
Mr Sebborn was cut from the car by firefighters and taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where he died the following day.
A family statement said: “On June 7 Edward Sebborn passed away after a car accident. A much-loved son and brother who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.”
Police are still appealing for witnesses or anyone who believes they saw Mr Sebborn’s Ford Fiesta in the minutes prior to the crash.
