CITY councillors have selected a new chairman to lead the Winchester Town Forum.
At a forum on Wednesday (June 12), outgoing chairman Cllr Brian Collin nominated Cllr Robert Hutchison, who was elected in the absence of any other nominees.
The forum serves as a platform for issues affecting the six wards in the centre of the city that do not have parishes.
Cllr Hutchison said: “I want to think Cllr Collin for his two years of hard work for the forum. There is a huge amount of experience around this table and the challenge is to balance the continuity with the change.”
Cllr sue Nelmes was selected as deputy chair.
The forum next meets on September 11.
