POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an incident at a Winchester takeaway.
Three men entered the Oriental Star, Andover Road, at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, June 5, and demanded free food.
When they were refused one of the men attempted to hit a member of staff before all three left. They were all wearing hoodies and baseball caps.
PC Glen Willis-Long said: “This is a popular takeaway restaurant and there may have been other people nearby or driving past who saw three men run from the premises.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Willis-Long at Winchester Police Station on 101 or call crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
