TALENTED people are needed to bring some extra fun to one of Winchester’s biggest festivals.
Wintonians will have the chance to show off their talents and wow the crowds at next month’s Hat Fair.
Three events are currently looking forward to welcoming those who would like to take part in the 39th Hat Fair when it takes over the city centre and Cathedral grounds from Friday July 5 to Sunday 7.
Winchester schools taking part in a sparkling Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Friday where pupils will parade from Abbey Gardens to the Alice in Wonderland-style tea party in Cathedral Close with decorations made by the children.
On Saturday, a Big Dance series of events will take place up at the Law Courts and Great Hall, between midday and 6pm celebrating a wide variety of styles and genres.
People of all ages can join in the spirit of Hat Fair by taking part in 40 minute dance workshops.
Any would-be performers will have their chance to shine on Sunday at The People's Stage from noon to 6pm at Oram's Arbour in a Winchester’s Got Talent show.
