THREE Hampshire towns searching for their own 'Mary Portas' have found someone who fits the bill.
Heidi Isa has been taken on as development officer for Bishop's Waltham, Denmead and Wickham.
Heidi, who has spent the last seven years as head of business development for the world's largest printing company, will handle tasks ranging from fundraising and marketing, to setting up new business networks and raising customer service standards.
Last year the Chronicle reported how Bishop's Waltham failed in its bid to be part of retail guru Mary Portas' high street regeneration scheme.
But the town, with the backing of Meon Valley MP George Hollingbery, received a consolation grant of £10,000 and a package of support from the Association of Town Centre Managers.
Heidi said: “I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to combine my professional experience with a personal passion for local economic development and tourism.”
