A WINCHESTER charity is offering volunteers a chance to stay healthy by helping out with their weekly exercise classes.
The Winchester Live at Home Scheme (WLAHS), supports the elderly with several sessions a week, from walking groups to fitness classes.
Claire Morgan, manager of WLAHS, said: “Summer is finally on its way and what better way to enjoy the warmer weather than to enjoy a bit of exercise and help our members?
“Our classes are very popular and really help our members with mobility, recoveries from falls and their general well-being.”
Volunteers are sought for the Monday walking group, held every Monday from 10.30am, and for exercise classes on Thursdays from 2.30pm to 3.30pm at St Marks Church, Oliver’s Battery, fitness classes held on Tuesdays from 2.30pm to 3.30pm in Alresford, and fitness sessions onTuesdays from 10.30am to 11.30am and 11.45am-12.45pm, at the United Church in Winchester.
