WINCHESTER Museums is appealing for help from the public with two new projects.
At the Bishop's Waltham show they will be asking residents if they have any family memorabilia - photographs, letters, medals, or other artefacts - relating to the First World War, particularly with a local connection to Winchester.
The Museum team is keen to make a record of the items and potentially - if the owners are willing - to make use of the material in a series of exhibitions next year.
Also at the show will be a Hampshire Finds Liaison Officer to help with identification of any mystery antiquities that people may have lying around the house.
On return, the museums staff will be giving people an opportunity to handle some of their artefacts, while children will get a chance to try on replica period costumes.
Bishop's Waltham Show is Saturday, June 1 at Hoe Road Recreation Ground and is open to the public from 1pm.
