WINCHESTER Churches Nightshelter is opening a pop-up cafe for one day, this Saturday.
The opening is to mark the star of National Volunteers' Week and the cafe will be staffed by shelter residents.
The shelter, on Jewry Street, is also hoping to attract more volunteers to help keep it going.
Three are needed every night of the year. There are many varied volunteers roles including cooking on or offsite, day time administration, building maintenance and overnight support for the duty staff.
Anyone interested should drop in to the Nightshelter Cafe on Saturday between 11am and 3pm.
Meanwhile, the Big SleepOut will be on September 20 and aims to raise more than £36,000 for charities for the homeless.
