John Leeson, Belgarum managing director and new chairman of Winchester Round Table
A WINCHESTER society has appointed a new chairman.
John Leeson, managing director at Belgarum Estate Agents, was elected chairman of Winchester Round Table last week.
Round Table is a national organisation for young businessmen in Britain and Ireland and the Winchester branch is 80 years old.
Mr Leeson, 36, said: “Being Chairman is a particularly important honour to me, as it allows me to put something back into the local community, where I was brought up, live and work.”
Winchester Round Table also puts on an annual fireworks display at North Walls Recreation Ground, raising money for local charities.
Mr Leeson was previously chairman of the bonfire and fireworks committee in 2007 and has been a member for 10 years.
