A HUNT has been launched today for two Hampshire school girls who have gone missing.

The girls, who are both 14, have not been seen since leaving school on Tuesday.

Today a mum of one of the girls has today made an emotional appeal for her daughter who to come home.

Charlie Young, 40, has not slept since her daughter Tilly walked out of school with her friend and has not been in touch since.

Tilly Young and Kaitland Ross were last seen walking out of their Eastleigh school around 3pm following an incident.

According to Charlie there had been some sort of misunderstanding leading to Tilly mistakenly believing she was in some sort of trouble.

Charlie, from Winchester, said: “I want her to know she is not in any trouble and all I want to know is that she is safe. Just please come home.”

Fears for the girls' safety are growing after they were spotted with two men in the Swaythling area of Southampton.

Charlie said: “I don't know who they are or whether the girls have been coerced into going along with them. I just need her to get in touch.”

Appeals have been posted on social networking sites which the girls are usually very active on. The girls are not thought to have taken any clothes or money with them.

“What is very worrying is that Tilly has not been on her [Facebook] site at all which is not like her. Both of them are usually on their phones or Facebook all the time and there has been nothing at all,” Charlie, a personal trainer, added.

Hampshire police confirmed they are conducting missing person inquiries and appealed for anyone with any information as to their whereabouts to get in touch.

Anyone with information can contact Southampton police on 101.
