NOVICE female cyclists who are put off by doing so by groups of men can take part in a series of women-only rides in Winchester.
After noticing that some women may feel the prospect of cycling with a large group daunting, CTC Winchester hopes to get more women cyclists out on the road some introductory rides in May and June.
Led by experienced women riders, the rides will meet in Winchester and will go out for about two hours on quiet, circular routes with refreshments at the end.
Participants don't need any special clothing just comfortable jogging bottoms; a t-shirt; a warm layer and something waterproof would be ideal.
The rides are on Thursday May 9 at 9.30am starting from Tesco car park, Easton Lane; Friday May 17 at 9.30am starting from Winchester Hotel car park, Worthy Lane; Wednesday May 22 at 1.30pm starting from Tesco car park, Easton Lane; Saturday June 8 at 10am starting from Winchester Hotel car park, Worthy Lane.
