A WOMAN has died today (May 16) after a serious collision on a Winchester road on Wednesday.
Caitlin Homan 24, from Canton in Connecticut, USA, died at Southampton General Hospital from serious head and leg injuries.
She was walking a dog in Stockbridge Road, Sparsholt, near Winchester, at around 1pm when she was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
She was airlifted to hospital by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. A vet was called to tend to the dog.
Her family were informed of the incident and are flying to the UK.
The driver, a 17-year-old woman from Winchester, was interviewed by police and enquiries are continuing.
