A WOMAN is still fighting for her life today after she was injured in a collision on the Stockbridge Road.
The 24-year-old dog walker is still in intensive care after a blue Vauxhall Corsa collided with her and her dog on the B3049 in Sparsholt.
She was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries where she received emergency surgery.
Police have said her family, who are from the United States, have been informed and are flying here to be with her.
The dog was taken away by a local vet and is being treated for its injuries.
The incident took place near Lainston House Hotel between Watley Lane and Littleton Road, about a mile outside Winchester at 1pm yesterday.
The driver, a 17-year-old woman from Winchester, was interviewed by police and enquiries are continuing their enquiries.
Officers would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either the pedestrian or the vehicle prior to it.
