CORAM Liam Matthew We are sad to announce the death of Liam Matthew Coram at the Greensleeves Care Home (St. Cross Grange) on 25th January 2023. Known usually as Bill and sometimes as Paddy, he achieved his goal of a 100th Birthday in November. Bill lived in Winchester for many years, latterly at Badger Farm. He was a career soldier in the Royal Green Jackets, reaching the rank of Regimental Sergeant Major. He subsequently served with the Serjeant at Arms Office, House of Commons, where he could reel off the names of all the M.P.s as he used to do with the soldiers under his command. Bill was a stalwart member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, where his funeral will take place there at 12.00 noon on Wednesday 1st March. He will be buried with his wife Nora, who died in 2021. He will be much missed by his daughters Maria and Celia, his grandson Gregory and family, relations, many friends and the birds in his garden. We also thank all at Greensleeves for his care.
