BATES Richard, Captain RN (rtd) Dickie passed away at Winchester Hospice on April 7th 2022, aged 91. A long life, full of adventure, sport and fun. After his naval career, Dickie was a councillor in Winchester for 12 years, Mayor in 1992/3 and Captain of Hockley Golf Club. Predeceased by Jean in 2002, he married Anne and moved away, returning to Winchester shortly before his death. Loved and missed by his three daughters, Nicola, Susan and Fiona, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. RIP.
