NORTH Robin John 1936 2022 Robin at 85 has sadly died after a short illness, courageously fought, peacefully at home with family. Much loved, fondly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Barbara and their daughter Briony, his son Mark and daughter Shelley and their mother Angela and grandchildren Kelly, Grace, Louis, Charlie, George, great grandson Tyler and all the family and friends. A well-known, respected, and successful local professional footballer who played for and managed Andover, Winchester and Salisbury teams. He also played as a youth professional for Southampton and as a full professional after National Service at Bournemouth FC. Known and trusted by many at Monros and Martins of Andover for 30 years. Proud to have been the nephew of Tommy Bounds who raced for Norton Bikes and Phillip Bounds a successful local boxer in the 1950s. The end of a local family sporting era. The funeral will be held in The Chesil Suite, Chesil House, Winchester on Friday 11th March at 11.30 am followed by refreshments at the Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney from 1.00 pm.
