EVE ANDERSON

ANDERSON Eve (formerly Turner) Eve will be recognised by many in Winchester. She had countless friends and former pupils from schools in Winnall and Fryern. She remembered every child by name and would recount beautiful stories of them. She was known for her kindness to all, her compassion, for sticking up for people without a voice. She was also a gifted poet, wrote beautiful words that could touch every heart. She died peacefully on 22nd July 2020, her funeral took place on 31st July

Loved living in the same block of flats with Eve. She’d always say thanks for looking after her keys when away, with a random present - sometimes a bottle of wine, sometimes sweets, and once a microwave meal! We never did get the chance to enjoy some of her much promised home cooking.

Sweet neighbour to have and many people have commented on what a true Winchester legend she was.

One of my favourite memories is when she went into her care home, and she rang me up on her mobile asking if I could break her out of there and bring her back to the flat.
