CLIFFORD WHEELER May 1st, 2020
Alan was the most lovely man with a gentle sense of humour. He encorouged me to play cricket for Hythe and Dibden CC between 1965-71. We were part of a very good team and had a lot of fun and success. Behind the scenes he put in hours of dedecation preparing the wickets. When not involved with cricket I believe that he did some work - seriously he produced a whole series of interesting articles on the Waterside. I was lucky to know him and to be a little part of his life. My condolences to all his family, Cliff Wheeler,
