THE Bishop’s Waltham Festival will return on Saturday, May 21 and will provide a week of rich and varied entertainment.
Running until Friday, May 27, it will include children’s events, drama, live music, and shows by professionals and skilful amateurs.
Organisers say the centrepiece will be the entertainments surrounding the farmers’ market on Sunday, May 22.
It will feature street entertainers with live drumming, performance workshops, and shows by youngsters from nearby schools.
Other events include a battle of bands, literature events, teatime concerts and the chance to research family history.
Other highlights include Much Ado About Nothing by the Rain or Shine Theatre Company at the Bishop’s Waltham Junior School grounds.
The festival will conclude with The Atlantics playing music from the 1950s and 1960s at the Jubilee Hall in Little Shore Lane.
Tickets are available from Veck’s in High Street along with Bishop’s Waltham Library.
Tickets for some of the larger events are also available from the box office of the Theatre Royal in Winchester on 01962 840440.
