FOR those who like to get their teeth into a good detective yarn, Strictly Murder is coming to The Haymarket in Basingstoke.

The story is set in Provence in early 1939, and centres on English artist Peter Meredith, who lives in the beautiful countryside with his wife, Suzy.

Their idyllic existence starts to unravel when a Scotland Yard detective named Ross arrives to quiz them.

Secrets start to tumble out, and it becomes clear that Peter might not be all that he seems.

The play is written by Brian Clemens, creator of The Avengers and The Professionals.

It will star Mark Moraghan — Owen Davis from TV’s Holby City — as Ross, along with Nick Barclay as Peter.

Strictly Murder will be running at The Haymarket from Tuesday, May 5, to Saturday, May 9.

Performances start at 7.30pm with 2pm matinees on Thursday and Saturday.

Evening tickets cost from £16.50 to £18.50, while over-60s pay £14.50 to £16.50, and under-16s and students pay £8. Matinee tickets are £12.
