THE Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will appear at The Anvil in Basingstoke on Thursday, April 30, at 7.45pm conducted by Vassily Sinaisky, pictured.
The concert begins with Berlioz’s Harold in Italy, which was commissioned by the enigmatic Paganini as a piece to show off his viola playing.
Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no 6 (Pathétique), which the orchestra will perform afterwards, retains a shattering emotional charge, from its turbulent opening movement to the despairing conclusion.
Tickets are priced from £16.50 to £33.
