TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE –
PART OF CHURCH STREET, ROMSEY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 that The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council (being the Traffic Authority) has made an Order to allow for the renewal of a gas main in the carriageway, as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED That length of Church Street, Romsey between Portersbridge Street and Market Place
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE From the northern end of the closure north on Cherville Street / Greatbridge Road. South east on Duttons Road. Further south east on Malmesbury Road. South on Alma Road. East on The Hundred. South on Palmerston Street. West on Broadwater Road. North on Bell Street / Market Place to the southern end of the closure From the southern end of the closure east on The Hundred. North on Alma Road. North west on Malmesbury Road. Further north west on Duttons Road. South on Greatbridge Road / Cherville Street to the northern end of the closure
PERIOD OF ORDER : From Monday 20th February 2012 for a period of 3 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner
DURATION OF WORKS : Notwithstanding the period of the Order it is anticipated that works will take place from 20th February until 2nd March between Market Place and Church Place and from 5th March until 23rd March between Church Place and Portersbridge Street
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out
