TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - PART OF HALTERWORTH LANE, ROMSEY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 that The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council (being the Traffic Authority) proposes to make an Order to allow for works in connection with maintenance of the level crossing, as follows:-ROAD TO BE CLOSED Part of Halterworth Lane, Romsey
at the level crossing ALTERNATIVE ROUTES From the northern point of the closure, north on Halterworth Lane to its junction with A3090 Winchester Road; east on A3090 Winchester Road to its junction with Hook Road; south east on Hook Road to its junction with B3043 Hursley Road; south on B3043 Hursley Road to its junction with Baddesley Road; south west on Baddesley Road and Flexford Road to its junction with Knightwood Road; south on Knightwood Road to its junction with Castle Lane; west on Castle Lane to its junction with A27 Botley Road; north west on A27 Botley Road to its junction with Halterworth Lane; north on Halterworth Lane to the southern point of closure; and vice versa.
NOTE: the 7.5T weight limit on Botley Road will be temporarily suspended during the closure
PERIOD OF ORDER From Saturday 3 November 2012 for a period of 3 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner
DURATION OF WORKS It is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than overnight from 23.45 on Saturday 3rd November to 06:00 on Sunday 4th November 2012 Pedestrian and reasonable access to adjoining properties will be available.
