NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council proposes to make an application to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Court House, West Street, Andover SP10 1QP at 10:00 on Monday 23 April 2012 for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 extinguishing highway rights over a portion of land adjacent to ‘The Cottage’ St. John’s Lane Shedfield SO32 2TA, which is surplus to highway requirements. A plan showing the area of highway (the subject of the application), coloured red, has been deposited for public inspection at Winchester Discovery Centre, Jewry Street, Winchester SO23 8SB, where it may be inspected during the following hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 - 19:00; Saturday 9:00 - 17:00; Sunday 10:00 - 16:00 and at Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester SO23 9LJ, Mon to Thurs 8:30 - 17:00, Fri 8:30 - 16:30, where it may be inspected as set out above. On hearing the application, the applicant authority, any person to whom notice is required to be given under Part 1 of Schedule 12 Highways Act 1980, any person who uses the highway, and any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for, shall have the right to be heard.
