THE A34 TRUNK ROAD (WINNALL)
(CLOSURE OF LAY-BYS) ORDER 2011
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that she made this Order under sections 1(1) and 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the 7th November 2011, coming into force on 9th January 2012, on the A34 Trunk Road (Winchester By Pass) at Winnall near Winchester in the County of Hampshire.
Its effect is to permanently close the lay-bys in the southbound carriageway and the northbound carriageway of the A34 (Winchester By-Pass) opposite the Wykeham Industrial Estate near the M3 at Junction 9.
A copy of the made Order and of a plan illustrating its effect may be inspected during office hours at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8ZB and at those of Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester, SO23 3SR until 19th December 2011. They may also be obtained by application to Network Delivery & Development, Highways Agency, Floor 4C, Federated House, London Road, Dorking, RH4 1SZ quoting the reference HA/A34/41/7/226.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within six weeks from 7th November 2011, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
