TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE –
PART OF B3084 STANBRIDGE LANE, ROMSEY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 that The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council (being the Traffic Authority) proposes to make an Order to allow for works to replace the railway bridge, as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That length of Stanbridge Lane from its junction with Old Salisbury Road for a distance of 150 metres east
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the eastern point of the closure east on Stanbridge Lane to the junction with A3057 Greatbridge Road. North on Greatbridge Road and Romsey Road to the junction with Kimbridge Lane. West on Kimbridge Lane to the junction with B3084 Dunbridge Lane. South on Dunbridge Lane and Stanbridge Lane to the western point of the closure and vice versa
PERIOD OF ORDER: From Monday 21st November 2011 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner
DURATION OF WORKS: Notwithstanding the period of the Order it is anticipated that the closure will be required for 4 months
Please note that the 6’6” width restriction on Old Salisbury Lane between its junctions with Stanbridge Lane and Danes Road shall be suspended for the duration of this closure Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out
