TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES –
BOTLEY ROAD, ROMSEY AND ROMSEY ROAD,TIMSBURY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council proposes to make an order to allow for works on the highway to be undertaken as follows:
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads -
1. Botley Road, Romsey between its junction with Halterworth Lane and its junction with Whitenap Lane.
2. A3057 Romsey Road/Greatbridge Road, Timsbury between its junction with New Road and its junction with Fishlake Meadows.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: will be signed via the following roads -
1. Botley Road, A27 Luzborough Lane, A27 Southampton Road, A3090 Southampton Road/Winchester Road, Botley Road.
2. A3057 Romsey Road/Stockbridge Road, B3049 Winchester Road/Stockbridge Road, B3041 Chilbolton Avenue, B3040 Romsey Road, A3090 Romsey Road/Ampfield Road/ Winchester Road, A3057 Alma Road/Malmesbury Road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 21st November 2011 for a period of 12 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closures will each be required for 2 weeks in November/ December for pre-patching and 2 days in April/May for surface dressing).
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
