HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES –
VARIOUS ROADS TWYFORD,
COLDEN COMMON AND BRAMDEAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order to allow for works on the highway to be undertaken as follows:
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads -
1. Finches Lane, Twyford between its junction with Queens Street and its junction with High Street (5 days).
2. Main Road, Colden Common (northern section) between its junction with Spring Lane and a point 425 metres north thereof (1 night).
3. Main Road, Colden Common (southern section) between its roundabout junction with Church Lane and a point 450 metres north thereof (1 night).
4. A272 Petersfield Road, Bramdean between its junction with Fox Lane and its junction with Tithelands Lane (2 nights).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: will be signed via the following roads -
1. B3335 Searles Hill/High Street/Cox’s Hill, A3090 Hockley Link, Otterbourne Road, Main Road, Kiln Lane.
2. Church Lane, Brambridge, B3335 Highbridge Road, B3354 Main Road.
3. Church Lane, Brambridge, B3335 Highbridge Road, B3354 Main Road.
4. A272 Petersfield Road, A32 Fareham Road/Gosport Road, A31 Winchester Road, A31 The Dene, A31 Alresford Road, A272 Alresford Road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 25th July 2011 for a period of 3 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closures will be required for no longer than 1-5 days/nights each as above.)
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
