CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2011 and THE BOROUGH
OF TEST VALLEY (VARIOUS ROADS, ROMSEY)
(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND PROHIBITION OF
ENTRY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2011
On 4 July 2011, The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council being the Traffic Authority, made two road traffic regulation orders as follows:-
EFFECT OF ORDERS: To modify existing and introduce new parking places, waiting restrictions and prohibition of driving in Romsey and to consolidate the existing Road Traffic Regulation Order and Prohibition of Driving Order in Romsey, as set out briefly in the schedule below.
DATE OF OPERATION: The orders will come into operation on 5th August 2011.
FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this notice, the orders as made, a map showing the location and effect of the orders, a statement of reasons and the orders varied may be inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:-
(i) Branch Library, Station Road, Romsey (Opening hours:
Mondays & Fridays 9.00 - 5.00; Tuesdays & Thursdays 9.30 - 7.00; Wednesdays 9.00 - 1.00; Saturdays 9.00 - 4.00)
(ii) Council Offices, Duttons Road, Romsey (Opening Hours:
Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 - 5; Fridays 8.30 - 4.30)
(iii) County Council Information Centre, Mottisfont Court, High Street,
Winchester (Opening hours : Mondays to Fridays 8.30 – 5.30)
APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person who desires to question the validity of the orders or of any provision contained in the orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the orders may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the orders are made, app ly for the purpose to the High Court.
