A SHIRRELL Heath care home is set to be replaced by nine flats and houses under plans submitted to civic chiefs.
Hill House Rest Home, in Solomons Lane, has fallen into disrepair and the site has been earmarked for three apartments and seven houses by developer Country Homes.
None of the proposed homes, which range from a one-bedroom flat to a five-bed detached house, would be available at affordable rates as Country Homes claims it would be financially unviable.
The five-bed detached house is expected to cost £516,000, with a one-bedroom flat costing around £143,000.
