Several businesses across Hampshire have been named best in the region by popular lifestyle blog Muddy Stilettos.

Each year, Muddy Stilettos gives readers the chance to nominate their favourite small businesses for a chance of being named best in their categories across Hampshire and the rest of the UK.

The winners of the 2024 awards have now been announced, with 21 Hampshire businesses making the final cut and going through to the national finals.

Potters Beauty Barn in Ampfield was named the best beauty salon/clinic, Misho Hair Studio in Stockbridge was best hair salon, and The Mutton in Hazeley Heath near Hook was the best destination pub.

Two Petersfield businesses took home top prizes from Muddy Stilettos’ regional round, with Sage and Salt named the best arts, culture and theatre venue and Bambino Baby the best children's business.

Jenna Harris of Choreofit in Basingstoke won best fitness instructor, with nearby Overton business No 1 George Street winning in the women's fashion and accessories category.

Also based near Basingstoke in Upton Grey is Gorilla Spirits, who won the best local food/drink producer.

The best regional cafe award went to The Tenth Hole in Southsea, while Portsmouth businesses Southsea Spirit and Croxton's won best bar and best casual dining respectively.

Director of Misho Hair Studio in Stockbridge, Misho Dimitrov, said: "A huge thank you to all our wonderful guests who took the time to vote for us.  This is a fantastic recognition of our team's commitment to creativity and excellent customer service.

The winners will now compete at Muddy Stilettos’ national finals, held on July 11, when blog editors will whittle down the regional winners to reveal the definitive winners of small businesses in the UK.
