ROMSEY Abbey recently hosted a group of seven music scholars from the famous King’s College, Cambridge.
The concert, held on Tuesday, April 16 by King’s Men, featured a range of pieces from the Beatles to Elton John, sea shanties and more sacred pieces by Thomas Tallis.

Martin Seymour, the abbey's director of music, said: “I was thrilled the King’s Men came to give a concert to raise funds for our choral foundation here at the abbey. I also organised them to deliver an afternoon workshop to six local junior and secondary schools and many pupils found that an inspiring experience.”
Romsey deputy mayor John Parker said: “Brilliant concert. My wife and I very much enjoyed it and appreciated the wide repertoire of the group. Thanks. I do hope they can come again.”
