We saw last week that the Conservatives are bringing their messy Tory bunfight to Romsey (“MP ‘not being Conservative’”, Advertiser, April 12).

This time it seems some don’t like their own MP for Romsey because they feel Ms Nokes is not extreme enough for their tastes.  At the end of the day any Tory MP will have to support whatever the Tory leader’s whip dictates.  Whether this is to trash the economy, impoverish public services, allow pollution of our rivers, or dismantle the NHS, they will have to support it.

If they can’t choose a candidate that represents some of their more fruity views, then call an election now.   Let the people choose someone who will represent us, rather than yet another whipped Tory.
