For anyone heading out this weekend, you'll be delighted to see that the Met Office has issued a delightful forecast.

Winter is officially over as Winchester will continue to have glorious weather - perfect if you've got the weekend off work and you wanted to head out and about. 

Whether you're planning to enjoy your garden, St Catherine's Hill or you're heading out to the Cheese and Chilli Festival - you are going to have some brilliant weather. 

Saturday, June 3, is set to be sunny all day, according to the Met Office.

Forecasters have predicted highs of 22°C, with the hottest time of day expected to be from 2pm until 5pm. 

Unfortunately, the pollen levels are expected to be quite high so any hay fever suffers may be struggling today. 

It will start to get cooler at around 9pm when the temperature will fall to around 17°C. 

Sunday, June 4, is set to be much of the same but a little bit warmer with temperatures of 23°C forecast around 4pm.

The full Met Office forecast reads: 

Saturday:

"A mostly sunny day once any early low cloud burns away. Feeling warm inland in the sunshine, but still fairly cool at the coast with a persistent onshore wind. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

"Patchy low cloud may return to coastal parts but most of the region will remain clear, breezy along the coast but winds falling light inland. Minimum temperature 4 °C."

Sunday:

"Any early low cloud will quickly disperse leaving another fine day with plenty of warm sunshine. Cooler near the coast due to onshore breezes. Maximum temperature 24 °C."
