A MOTORWAY slip road has reopened after it was close this morning due to a vehicle fire.
The entry slip was shut on the M27 Westbound at junction 7 for Hedge End.
This was due to a car fire which has now been extinguished
The road was cleared and reopened just after 8am.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "Two fire engines from Hightown were called to the M27 westbound at junction 7 for Hedge End at 06:22 today (Tuesday January 18).
"Firefighters used hose reel jets to put out a car fire."
Firefighters are said to have left the scene at around 7am.
Police were also made aware of the incident.
