STOCKBRIDGE Post Office has got the stamp of approval for refurbishments and longer opening hours.
It will close on Tuesday, October 28, at 5.30pm, for the revamp which includes a combination counter.
The Post Office terminal will sit alongside the retail till, in The Southern Co-operative store in the High Street, and will be open during store hours – 6am to 10pm, seven days a week.
As well as the 66 extra hours, it will also have services for paying bills, sending money abroad and withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account.
Gary Trodd, Post Office services manager at The Southern Co-operative, said: “The Southern Co-operative is very supportive of the changes as it’s seen as a positive move forward for customers by making the Post Office’s services more conveniently available whenever our store is open.”
Nearby Post Offices are at Winchester Road, Kings Somborne, and West View Stores, High Street, Broughton.
